FAQ

Questions applicants ask us

What happens on the free consultation?

A 30-minute video call with one of the two founders. We ask about your background, your exam scores, the universities you are considering and your timeline, and we give you an honest read on where you stand and what would actually move the needle. There is no obligation to book anything afterwards.

When should I start working with you?

Earlier is better, but it is rarely too late. Exam strategy is most useful several months before your UCAT or GAMSAT sitting. Personal statement work is best over the summer before the 15 October UCAS deadline. Interview preparation typically runs from November through to March.

If you have an interview in a fortnight, we can still help - just tell us the date and we will be straight with you about what is achievable in the time you have.

Do you guarantee an offer?

No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Admissions decisions are made by universities on the basis of your scores, your application and your interview. What we can do is make sure none of those is the reason you were turned down.

How are sessions delivered?

1-to-1 over video call, scheduled around school, work or a degree - including evenings and weekends where we can. Written feedback follows the sessions that call for it, such as personal statement reviews and mock interviews.

Which universities do you cover?

Any UK medical school. Before we prepare you for a specific school we research its interview format and the values it selects on, rather than teaching one generic interview and hoping it transfers.

I applied before and was rejected. Can you help?

Yes, and reapplicants are some of the most rewarding people to work with. The first thing we do is work out what actually went wrong last cycle - because most reapplicants change the wrong thing, and spend another year fixing something that was never the problem.

I’m under 18. Can my parents be involved?

Yes. Parents and guardians are welcome to join the free consultation, and we are happy to keep them updated on progress. Both founders hold Enhanced DBS certification.

How much does it cost?

Because every applicant needs a different combination of sessions, we price the plan rather than a fixed package. We will talk you through exactly what it costs on the free call, before you commit to anything.
